@proficiency that's honestly less of a problem, for me; after all, we all reinvented the wheel—and I am *very* strict about adding stuff to Amberol. I'm more concerned about the fact that a lot of these clones are made with GenAI, and do not lead to sustainable code bases, or to increase in contributions to the platform. And Flathub doesn't even have payment integration, yet; once that arrives, I fear an avalanche of slop coming our way…
