@tanja I feel like just patching upstream systemd with the revert commit would be better than making a fork? (Not like NixOS doesn't already have lots of patches in there.)
Maybe I'll make a nice nixpkgs overlay for that in the next few days.

@jstsmthrgk @tanja Someone tried this already and Poettering Closed the commit (no merge) Said systemd won't enforce policy (when someone was trying to revert a policy-related change????) And locked the thread. That's pretty much been the response so far. So this is the next best thing. For now. Link: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/41179
