@Njord I found them to be useful in a few, but limited cases, e.g.:
- Knowing a certain function should exist in a language you haven't used in a while, but can't remember the name of (but you do remember its behavior).
- Generating a non-trivial test example. I once wanted an example plane A and point P in 3D space with the following properties: A should have integer coefficients. P should have integer coordinates. The projection of P on A should also have integer coordinates.

@Njord ...most importantly, in the examples I listed, the responses of an LLM are easily verifiable. I tend to find LLMs less useful the larger the response of an LLM is (= more text to verify).
