@Njord if you ignore the ethical, environmental, and social problems of LLMs, I think they can be useful in limited situations (taking care to remember that it is often wrong and keeping skeptical of its replies). But once you factor in the ethical, environmental, and social problems, they are worse than useless. The limited benefits in a few situations are vastly outweighed by the massive harms .
