@msdropbear sigh… what a tool at the risk of sounding religious, let me paraphrase “love the sinner, hate the sin” to read “love my country but hate what it does” being excessively patriotic is not “right wing” it’s just silly no matter who does it. my country/ my party/ my team etc right or wrong is the mantra of … i dunno, don’t want to be rude, but seriously, people. if you don’t stand for good values, then the labels you choose for yourselves become meaningless. A good starting point for a real green philosophy, IMO, would be “respect life”. By that standard, Hutton fails miserably (as do most politicians) Identity politics are not “wrong”, they result when people feel unseen unvalued. The solution to any mistaken belief identity is a problem is to start respecting life, not cherry picking.who is not to be respected, or agreeing with the resentment parties that unvalued people should shut up if he is what the greens represent, i wouldn’t vote for them #DrewHutton #Auspol
