@MIfoodie @clive @frameworkcomputer Otherwise used enterprise Thinkpad, Dell, or HP is really good. Also consider gaming console or something like Nintendo Switch or Steamdeck if needed for college gaming years IMHO. Though I was involved in SC2 proscene, not as player since didn't have APM, so I get it if you need real GPU

@CliffsEsport @clive Yeah I'm familiar with apple referb. Great stuff, got my ipad and phone that way and didn't notice any differences then if I had just bought it new. I would LOVE a macbook (great hardware and great battery, not to mention the addition to my walled garden) of some sort but again with the software issue, would rather not run VMs for a ton of stuff. Second choice right behind framework is probably the Lenovo T series (really just have to see what the pricing looks like when it is launched 🤞 ) https://www.ifixit.com/News/115827/new-thinkpads-score-perfect-10-repairability A Steamdeck would probably be the console I would get if I would got one but would rather spend that ~$500 on an additional 8GB ram.... APUs are getting pretty good so I'm sort of torn about getting one with a dedicated GPU (though that concern is really only for framework laptops where that is a separate module that you buy, any other laptop that I'm considering has that because theres not really a market for a mid/high laptop without a GPU)
