@tiraniddo I just dug through some legal texts, and at least in Switzerland and the EU, the law actually requires that phones, laptops, etc. not only come with a USB-C charging port, but also that you can buy them without a charger included. This was marketed as "reducing e-waste", but businesses probably liked the idea of charging the same for less, and selling chargers separately...

@siguza yeah, I am curious if this is just Apple taking advantage/malicious compliance or if this is the new normal and no laptop sold in Europe will have a PSU going forward. Perhaps I wouldn't mind if they at least didn't charge full price for the PSU if you bought it with the laptop.
