@CyberSaloperie facts. The only two companies I've seen push something off into abandonware and not touch it since in the gaming world have been Bethesda with TES1 Arena and TES2 Daggerfall (they're both free) and Valve.

@CyberSaloperie although, only TES1: Arena's source code ever released. Daggerfall's source code was lost while Bethesda moved offices. And Valve never released their abandoned games' src cause they're still having small patches via steam. Yep, not even Half-Life WON got it's src released. Although the Goldsrc engine's source code got released so, yay?
