@TheSecondVariation If there isn't a (newer?) way I don't yet know of, a workaround would be to export/download the list of people you are following and open it with the spreadsheet software of your choice. Within a spreadsheet program sorting and searching is quite easy - if you know the Mastodon accounts by their handle (@janeDoe @exampleInstance).
