@DavidM_yeg These kinds of big projects tend to just start suddenly despite all the efforts to schedule. Power to the house temporarily gets shut off for some of the day, but if there's a wrong part or whatever that extends to maybe the full day. You should have some battery backups for anything critical. If you end up booking a fall install, there may be project over runs or illness. Fall can easily turn into a Winter install. There might be talk about the need for some kind of pest barrier, but I think that's very situation specific. You have a frequent returning guest that you know of perhaps. Peek into the roof to make sure there's no leaks that you know of. Winter/Spring is a great time to spot the unexpected ice and to fix it before the install.
