@rexana @caseyliss I've had a play around with using []{}() and so forth in filenames and it seems quite happy with them - found quite a few examples of those living on my server already. So I suspect this bug is either long gone, or quite specific. Even so, I can see why minidlna isn't everyone's cup of tea. It doesn't do transcoding, and it isn't particularly configurable, which limits flexibility. I rather like it though: it has given me trouble-free service for a very long time now.
