@hazelweakly I used to feel similarly about the shapes of the keys, but then I realized I could bind the extra key to Ää (used _all the time_ in Finnish), and they became worth it. The locations of the non-word characters are something I can't get over, though. I ended up getting a UK keyboard on my latest laptop (ISO key shapes, but almost everything is in the same place as on the American layout) so that I wouldn't have to look at the wrong characters everywhere while my actual keyboard layout was set to a lightly modified US layout.
