@nosfe I have no idea, other than a length of film I own which has little flashes from edge to middle which definiteyly look like electric charges. Here's a frame with enhanced contrast.

@slowtiger ah, found also video describing this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pC2sCjSfOw&ab_channel=CineStillFilm it's a different process for sure, as my film was too wet for static discharge to happen.
