:boost_ok: Writers, where do you go to find community, make friends, and otherwise connect with other writers? I've mentioned before that one of the reasons I fell out of writing for so long is that I lost touch with the writer friends I had in my twenties. It was nice to have spaces where we could connect over this shared interest and, y'know, share or brainstorm or commiserate or whatever else. (We were all in art school at the time, so there was plenty of the commiserating, for sure.) In the absence of a shared physical context (office, school, etc.), I'm not sure where the best place might be to start looking for new community! Do you make those connections here? Are there Discord/IRC/Matrix servers? Forums or subreddits? I'm curious to know where other people are finding this. Bonus points for spaces that aren't all or mostly focused on fantasy writing--that's most of what I'm finding, and it's not my preferred genre, so I'm at even more of a loss. #writing #writingCommunity
