The flight deck of the CVN Gerald Ford looks amazingly empty as it transits the Suez Canal.
Normally, US supercarrier flight decks are chocka with parked a/c (the hangars aren't large enough to allow all a/c in her air wing to be struck down).
As one doesn't drive 100k tonnes through a canal at anything like fixed wing a/c launch speeds (wind over the deck is required), presumably the air wing is temporarily deployed to a friendly airbase while transiting?

@PhilipCJames@mas.to Trump needs to get it into his thick skull that there is no way for him to win. He needs to bow out and get the best agreement he can with Iran. Death and destruction is not the way forward and even after many months of more war, his options would not be substantially different to today’s.
