Got the chickies today, two speckled Sussex (2 months) and two Buff Orpingtons (3 months) They’re sweet girls so far and they seem pretty happy exploring their new home. Tonight we put them in bed and I felt a bit bad as it’s cold and rainy. I figured they’d be tucked in the coop in the straw nice and cozy. I went out and they were all in a mosh pile in the sheltered outside bottom area of the coop. @ahermitforhire lifted them back into the inside area. I had a peek through the window to see how they’re doing and they’re all illuminated by my neighbors security light and pecking at their own shadows. So it is what it is… At least they’ll be warmer. Fingers crossed the get tired soon. I did get this photo which honest to God deserves to be in an art gallery. 🤣 Think I’m going to be making curtains or finding a NASA deflector for that light. :ablobwhatisgoingon: :redhatparrot:
