@FajiKiwi I think often times it depends on the general style its going for, or the skill level of the person performing the line art. It's not uncommon to have the liveliness or personality (parroted) displayed in someones sketch to be lost in the line art if it's not their forte. Especially if it lacks interesting use of line weight and pressure. tldr do more than just tracing the sketch and line art look good too
