Pleased to announce my group's new state of the questionable art hyperparameter tuning strategy, HatTune.
We pull a hyperparameter out of a hat. It is a good hyperparameter, you will like it. We try a couple others from the hat, and they are worse. Do not question the hat.

Working on a paper where we benchmark HatTune against its closest competitor, BabylonTune. The hyperparameter is always right. I will listen to the hyperparameter. I will not ignore the hyperparameter's recommendations. The hyperparameter is God. And if model failure ever happens again, the hyperparameter will personally rip your lungs out.
