@tygerkrash I can absolutely guarantee that there's a cohort of beancounting scrooges in Dáil and Department, adding halfpence to pence and prayer to shivering prayer, who regard it as a waste of money given to layabouts, and think at the very least the payout should give them a licence to dictate what art can and cannot be given State sanction. And they're terrified they might accidentally create a universal income scheme if they make it permanent.
