This weekend : Le Placard 72h Paris Festival 28/29/30 nov + 1dec La Générale Paris 39 rue Gassendi Paris 14 Le Placard is a worldwide festival of headphone concerts, playing on the intimacy of isolated listening, and on the distortion of time, putting the listener in a state of concentration similar to that of musicians... Initiated in 1998 by Erik Minkkinen and Sylvie Astié, and connected to the internet since 1999, this festival operates in an original and participatory way, with a completely open program: each venue that decides to organise a Placard sets up a performance space (headphones only!), where musicians are invited to play. Each live performance is also streamed live on the internet. More than an event, Le Placard is a tactic. In parallel of Le Placard, La Generale will host End of the World 3.0, a 72-hour marathon screening of films on nuclear apocalypse. A selection of films to watch from start to finish over 72 hours to experience a nuclear war before, during, and after.
