I produced a radio documentary about the #opioidcrisis through the eyes of people struggling with #addiction, those that have lost loved ones, the #harmreduction workers, including an #Indigenous outreach worker, a drug checker, and peer supporters.
This was produced for #CIVL in #Abbotsford, #BritishColumbia and the Community Radio Fund of Canada, for their Local Journalism Initiative-funded podcast #Viewpoints.

While this piece was released today, the day before the #bcpoli #BCElxn2024, it was produced starting in July and into August. That is the main reason why this piece is devoid of any of the current politicization of the issue. Alas, my goal, from the time I pitched this piece until I submitted it, was to get to know some the millions of people at the centre of the crisis. Have a listen, and do share if it resonates with you, as this crisis is affecting people across #Canada and beyond.
