6 months ago, @paulbiggar posted on Zed's GitHub Discussions forums about the company, Zed Industries, taking money from Sequoia Capital, which is partnered with Shaun Maguire, who has been actively supporting genocide in Palestine.
During these six months, Zed Industries has been ominously quiet about the post; however, until a few days ago, one of the maintainers of Zed made an official comment, which I quote: "Thanks for reaching out. We want to better support our community, and the best way for us to do that is through our official Discord. The team is active there and happy to help."

@TheEvilSkeleton@social.treehouse.systems @paulbiggar@hachyderm.io It is funny to me how much @r0se@eepy.moe never liked Zed to begin with when I was still a fan before they took money from child killers. But to be honest, I should have seen it coming given how they always positioned themselves as some AI """"distruptive""" startup or whatever. They are leeches on open source and the community around it
