like i can't emphasize this enough but it's really not that hard to read 50+ books in a year if reading is your favourite and therefore main form of media consumption. it's just somehow considered unbelievable that someone might genuinely prefer it over the alternatives not due to pretentious reasons but "brain feels nicey when i engage with this" reasons

  • @ognik I can kinda relate, especially when trying to learn something on more complex topics, I find it WAY easier to focus on a nicely-written article or book than on a video. When watching videos, I tend to get distracted so easily that sometimes I have to rewind a minute or two a few times to get the point. It's so much easier to just read the sentence again whenever I lose focus.
