@delila Back when I was doing the morning walks before work I walked a pretty fixed route. The dogs knew it, and it adjusted over time. With my current dog, I have 5 or 6 ~1 hour long daily walks which I alternate for novelty. There are an equal number of shorter 2nd walks that I like to mix and match. She will tell me if the walk is not what she wants, but I don't always acquiesce. Sometimes I let her lead.
