@badnetmask at this point very nearly 100% of my prints are toys for my kids, tools for my spouse's quilting hobby, or shims or brackets to mount something to something else it wasn't intended to be mounted to.
Ex: nobody is going to sell me brackets to mount my specific lawn tool batteries to the wall, but I found a print that works great.
Another: my spouse wanted some specific sizes of a tool that would otherwise be dozens of dollars to buy each.

@zrail @badnetmask I think it gets overlooked a lot that printing isn't cheaper necessarily but it does mean you can make stuff for yourself that isn't available to buy. Similar to sewing your own clothes, the big advantage is that you get exactly the right things instead of "almost fits". It's also a win that you don't have to print 10000 to justify a manufacturing run and so you're not wasting as much stuff.
