@catraxx @thomastc the arrows are completely irrelevant. You can cover them without any loss of illusion. It would have been very weird that an optical illusion is commanded to the brain via the arrow directions.
I suspect the relative phases of the gradient hues, but it does not seem so, it could be something else.
Edit: almost sure the movement comes from the phase difference between the gradient in the fill and the gradient in the BORDER.

@catraxx @thomastc yep thats it. The illusion comes from the border. According to the border gradient, we get an impression that the ring expands or retract on specific positions when the outer or inner border color matches the surface.
