@syntaxxor 'on' is a third person pronoun in French. it used to be the same as singular they a few hundred years ago but nowadays is uses as a version of "nous" (we). it can also mean "one" like in "One needs to learn to walk first." but nowadays its basically only used as "we". AFAIK that's a very modern development and its quite fucky coz when ppl will try to speak about me, it will sound like they're speaking about themselves :3
