Alright! In case you missed the news, today I have resigned from my current position, as I have another job lined up! Some final stats about this year job search I have sent 40 applications in ~14 days, most found on LinkedIn and NoFluffJob (both have very effective search, can recommand)Out of all the application, 12 sent me a rejection; so exactly 30% negative response rateI got 1 (one) interview, went through the 3 rounds and got the offer at the endSadly I didn’t get hired by someone who found me on Mastodon, but that was worth a try hahaFor comparison, 2 years ago I sent around 26 applications only, got maybe 8 responses with 2 positive for an interview; but I was targetting Junior roles in France back then so a different game. I’m saying this publicly so that you know: yes yes people still get hired in this economy 🙂‍↕️it’s a number game so don’t get caught up on every single application, keep the ball rollingif there is a place to put a cover letter or a message to the recruiter do so!
