Thing is, it probably *doesn't* hurt their trade to any appreciable degree. The younger generations as a whole seem to have been normalised to everything needing an online account and 24/7 access to their life. If that's the target demographic, or the demographic that most sustains their business, the bar is not going to care one iota about outliers. THAT is the root of the problem.

@realcainmosni @NudelnAlDente Yes. I was reading the replies looking for somebody acknowledging this. Target demographic. Also they're forcing people to find them on social media, to encourage promotion of the place on social media. There's a certain logic to that. Depending on just how trendy & busy the cocktail bar is, they may even *prefer* you to leave if you're the kind of person who doesn't have instagram, or (heaven forbid) you let your phone battery run out. Cool people don't do that 😄
