Figured out why it's affordable Across the street, on the other side of a neighbor's property and up a hill, is the back of a little strip mall. At night the back of that strip mall is lit up like the surface of the sun. And for whatever goddamn reason, the previous owners of this house decided to rip out all the trees that might have shaded it from those nuisance lights. I can see in street view, there were trees in the yard as recently as 5 years ago... Now the yard is bare except for grass. So now to research city zoning codes on outdoor lighting to see if there's anything to be done about that fucking strip mall, maybe the landlord is violating some city ordinance?Or if the only option is to block the light.
