I believe it was @stux@mstdn.social who said some corporation owns the site. That would most likely mean it is setup for automatic payments and hosted on whatever other digital infrastructure they have setup.

I have a feeling it’s all automatic indeed and they can pay it but it’s an assumption Recently the person running the company got one of their crypto wallets compromised for 4M
