@hendrik_kueck @simonbs much more predictable for me. When you have a codebase with a ton of targets, etc., it's harder for the agent to generate the correct commands every time. Also, instrumentation, with the MCP, the agent can interact and do everything with your app.

@dimillian Thanks, that’s interesting. After seeing your reply to @simonbs, I checked out the 2.0 and decided to give the new CLI a try (I had used the MCP in the past, but switched to Codex just using Xcode CLI tools). My experience so far hasn’t been great, and I think I am going back for now. But I think at least part of that is that the new CLI tool still feels very beta and tacked-on. The agent driving the app sounds cool, but sadly all my app projects tend to require running on device.
