I have a few small FOSS apps up on Github, which I wonder if they are actually used. Every time I need to do some maintenance on those, like framework or package upgrades, I'm wondering if I should bother. Is anyone actually using this?
I'm always tempted to add some usage tracker into it then. A simple HTTP call would do. But then I think naaah, that's kinda creepy no?
So I don't. But I wonder how others handle this. You don't care? Do it some other way?

The cool thing about the Faircamp Docker image I have up, is that the Docker pulls from the Docker repo are automatically counted. So I have a usage tracker, without any of the privacy issues. It's cool to see that counter go up week after week. It's over 1.000 pulls now. 🎉
