@peterbrown @RolloTreadway @babe For this exact reason I got my driving licence quite recently (2019) and tooted a lot about this process (from 2018) and cars in general - I did lose a couple of followers but got surprisingly little pushback (even from some mutuals who are full on eco-warriors!) Currently I drive a 2018 Golf GTI, which I toot about fairly often (mostly about maintenance and detailing). I did go 30 years without owning a car, but I lived in SE England nearer to London and had to leave that area to find work in the 2000s, and even though I was one of the first people round here to adopt hybrid working, more and more of my work ended up being on site in the rural areas...
