@babe There really is nothing like driving a car you brought back to life with your own hands My first car I bought on my own was an 87 Honda CRX that needed a full engine rebuild. I rebuilt it, drove it for years, cried when I sold it. Shouldn't have.

@TeflonTrout I bought an MR2 years ago. Rather banged up, needed a lot of work. I found out a few days after getting it that the nerve issue I was told was temporary was actually not, so never got to drive it. But did it up pretty well and made a tidy profit. I was so damn proud of that car.

@TeflonTrout I bought an '88 CRX HF off the truck. No radio, nor AC, installed my own stereo for a fraction of the dealer price. It got 56mpg even after eight years and 100k miles I got rid of it because I moved to California and I really needed AC in the desert ... also, I was tired of getting rear-ended (8 times in eight years :nkoFacepalm2: ) It was another decade before I could get a car with similar mileage 😐 @babe
