As an adult, one thing I think adults should do more often is give themselves little pop quizzes to see how much they know about things, and how correct they are. I get that school is literally a prison and you honestly do deserve *some* reward for making it through, and a reasonable reward is to never go through anything like that again. But it's good for your brain to do things like ask yourself to explain to yourself why the sky is blue, and it's good for your brain to practice checking what you believe against whatever system you use for checking beliefs (probably science). Also, you might learn that science has changed its understanding of why something happens since you last took a look at the question!
