@nycki so this is absolutely the coolest thing to ever come out of something i said... so much here hits on points ive been thinking about for a while now. i do think theres room for a sort of intermediate between i guess 'stories' and 'statuses' that lets chat and the more 'disorganized bulletin' coexist meaningfully but its such a tough line to draw, and in fact part of my thinking was actually a kind of design where new followers wouldnt get to see post history, exactly for these reasons
