@cdub @michaelchampion Ok, I'm willing to hear that. We can agree on the problems and disagree on how to label them. Let me try this differently. Shipping browsers with a default search engine, often paid for, has a number of effects that are detrimental to people. It's a serious problem which we need to fix, including considering its impact on browser diversity. Is there someone on your end who'd be interested in working on that?

@cdub @robin @michaelchampion Let me be provocative : 1/ It is not on W3C to fix Google. This is a classic Standard Oil case and we shouldn't ruin our own relationship over it. This is for others

@cdub @robin @michaelchampion 2/ But if we fix the system in time, a Google under pressure will probably jump on it. Without pressure investors would never allow them to give up the lucrative monopoly. But we could argue with precautionary action to fix the system :)
