It's frustrating to see individualist "solutions" like freezing fuel prices gaining popularity on the left (looking at you @avilewis and @thegreenparty).
This crisis is an opportunity to push for #renewables, mass transport, cycling infrastructure, and subsidised insulation programmes, not perpetuating the failed pattern of cheap fossil fuels. #cdnpoli #ukpol

@danielquinn @avilewis @thegreenparty Well the freezing of fuel prices will lead to a fuel shortage here as other countries outbid us for the fuel, and _then_ we'll have a push for electrification. Maybe more of a "violent shove" than a "push". But at least that shove would come from "the market" rather than "the greenies"?
