Uber now works in Mauritius!!! Took many years and now it's done thanks to to Ala-lila Taxi by Logidis. Right now, all car rides are done with taxis working with Ala-lila and not private cars but this is better than nothing. I've just tried the app for a ride from my place in Quatre-Bornes to Caudan in Port-Louis and, with the current 42% promotion, I am offered a normal taxi at Rs 318, a "comfort" taxi at Rs 535 and an "XL" taxi at Rs 752 (instead of Rs 1300). https://defimedia.info/uber-officiellement-lancee-maurice-une-nouvelle-ere-pour-les-taxis
