Yeah. It’s never a bad day to test your backups.
Well, almost never. When you actually need them might not be optimal.
That’s my point.

@SecurityWriter When I was running various systems we would have "can we recover?" days. We would mark about 10% (randomly selected) of our backup media with hypothetical "bad" labels and then we would try to recover. We learned a lot about having layered backups.

@SecurityWriter "Why should we check our backups if this is just a binary copy of our database? here guaranteed that is will be working." Sure, yep. One of the moments where I don't want to say "I told you so" in the future, but probably will.
