@fdroidorg I did read it, but as the current announcement is more recent, I asked myself if this still applies. I believe you that this is the case, but it doesn't make sense to me to open the android ecosystem while at the same time building new obstacles.

@kleisli If something is open you can't make it "more open". Adding more bureaucracy, more "register now or else" does not make anything more open, but adds friction, gate-keeping and centralizes power more at the whims of Google. 🤷 Please do take time and write to your local representative, the site has all the info and the links that you need.
