@joe A couple of thoughts: first, bear in mind the old adage you can have only two of the following things, light, strong and/or cheap. Cheap cargo bikes are either heavy or fragile, neither of which you want in a cargo bike. If you are in a flat place, you can get away without e-assist to save weight and cost. I live in a hilly place, so for me, it has been Urban Arrow for the last 12 years (I am on my 7th bike) and can recommend them... 😉

    @kim_harding That's an excellent point - durability is an absolute must, and come to think of it, repair-ability is also an extremely high personally-important preference. I think it'll be as you point out, going acoustic to save on both weight and cost :)
