The choice is between "fascism now" and "possibly fascism later" and you're adamant about picking the former. Great logic. So how many years of fascism will it take until we get this utopia you have in mind?

There's no "possibly" about it. Republicans will win some elections. Fascism now, or fascism later. I want someone in office who will mitigate the fascism that inevitably comes later, not enable it. I mean look at the last couple of elections. Do you seriously think that, in hindsight, Biden winning 2020 was a good thing? 2021–2024 under Biden wasn't as bad as it would have been under Trump, but it sure as shit wasn't worth letting Trump win '24. >how many years Ideally 2. That's why I'm voting in primaries. But assuming Newsom (or some equivalent) makes it to the ballot, then ideally 6. If nobody votes for the blue fascist in '28, maybe we can get someone worth voting for in '32. If every democrat votes for Hitler (D), then we have a lot more years of fascism to look forward to in the future.
