@akent In 1998 the New Zealand Army lost a brand new Unimog in the Waimakariri River, just north of Christchurch when some soldiers tried to ford the river and found that it was bigger and deeper than they thought. Not only that, a few days later it flooded and the Unimog was stuck for days until the floodwater went down far enough.
