*shrugs* I mean are you surprised that folks who looked at a boiling planet, and the scientific data that showed if we keep doing capitalism, particularly fossil fuel capitalism, billions and billions of people are going to to die and said "fuck that it's worth it, how dare you suggest I stop" would invent their own morality to justify it - because no existing morality could?
