@mitsuhiko there are a bunch of projects I had on my todo list, some for years, that I could have done at any time, but they would have taken more effort/time than I had in me. Over the holidays, I knocked out a half dozen of them, including a couple of quite large ones. I was extremely skeptical, but I've now done several projects with it, and I can't pretend the results aren't astonishing. I don't think a non-technical person could have done any of them, but it sure made me faster.

@mitsuhiko I'm not sure I'm happy about it, as it's going to cause major disruption, and not in the good "let's disrupt big megacorp with our startup" way. Given the people in control of the industry and government right now, I don't think it's going to be pleasant or good for humanity. But, it does work remarkably well, it is fun, and it lowers the friction of driving new projects to completion so much that I feel silly not just walking down my todo list and knocking them all out.

  • @swelljoe @mitsuhiko I think this is a big piece of it. There are lots of little ideas that people have had that seemed not worth the effort to explore for one reason or another, and that barrier just dropped.
