@mitsuhiko Now that you mention it, I find it so weird that we organize code in lines. They have a weak relation to meaning. Depending on how you format code, meaning can map in totally different ways to lines. If only there was a way to address parts of the abstract syntax tree instead. You could actually extract a complete piece of meaning from a file.
