@leadore As I am not too familiar with how the background stuff works with Mastodon works...I couldn't really contribute much to the discussion. But my gut tells me, you might be onto something. There is a strange unintended conflict going on in the background, which is the source of your issue. A quirk, that the software gremlins are behind.
