@homer77 Yeah that makes sense, i also know that as an explaination for the shift in the German left which used to be very pro-zionist in the beginning supposedly. Also, maybe you can answer this: Do you think my comment regarding the Sami is ignorant or inappropriate? I really dislike them(the poster im talking about)lumping in hatred of Romani people by the Nazis with skintone-based racism, i think both are too specific to just be equated and show a lack of understanding of "european" racism.

    @EinsPossum I’m not an expert for racist oppression of the Sami but neither are most of Norwegians (which I am also not btw). But I’ve read my share about what Norway did to Sami in the 20th century and I guess it is quite comparable to what e.g. Denmark did to the natives of Greenland. Experiences of people suffering from anti black racism are likely to differ a) depending on where they live and b) in comparison to anti indigenous racism. While the share of experiences of both groups is obviously significant the differences between are probably very important for them and their struggle too. So in short: I think your assumption is valid 🤓
